Green Lovin' Toddlers

Kids love to be involved in all things BIG, so why not recruit them to help the planet!? Start young and you can help to create an human being that will make environmentally correct decisions as second nature-- or hopefully first nature!

Be A Model:
Being green takes effort. For already overwhelmed parents the extra work might not be welcomed, but you are setting the example! Without your example your children might not understand what a gift our planet is to us. Even worse, you are not ensuring your grandchildren and great grandchildren, and great- great- great relatives a healthy planet of their own to live in.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle As A RULE:
Recycle
Sorting is a big milestone in children's development. A great way to help encourage categorizing and sorting: plastic... paper... metal... trash! Get bins and let your toddler slam dunk those water bottles, newspapers, milk cartons, glass jars, and more!
Reuse:
Turn that old toilet paper roll into a rainstick!
Make paper hats from newspapers!
Check out this cool toy made from a tissue box!
Reduce
Self explanatory, teach your toddlers not to be wasteful. The less we take from the environment, the more it will HAVE to give BACK. Use reusable water bottles and lunch bags, ditch ziplocks and get containers for trips! Use reusable bags when you go shopping or take old bags with you to the grocery store! With a little planning you can really make a difference!
